Extreme size transporter arrived in Ukraine

We have supplied a special product to the Zaporozhye Power Plant.
At the end of January 2020, successful acceptance and testing of a special spent fuel transporter took place at the Zaporozhye Power Plant in Ukraine. At the end of 2019, we delivered the transporter to our long-term customer - NAEK “Energoatom”. Factory acceptance tests were carried out in Ulm, Germany, in the transporter production plant - Kamag Transportechnik GmbH.
The aforementioned transporter will serve at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant for the transport of a special cask, which is also developed by our designers. Another function will be the transport of concrete casks in the spent fuel storage area.
The transporter with a total weight of 60 tons, height of 5 meters and a length of over 7 meters, was transported by road transport over a distance of 2500 km across several countries. The transfer required the provision of appropriate licenses, police escorts, route planning with regard to the carrying capacity of bridges, etc.
The complex project was executed successfully and on time thanks to excellent cooperation of the whole implementation team and also with the support of the Czech Chamber of Commerce.
